Shaving Kit for Toddlers? No Thanks

I was really disappointed to see shaving kits for young boys on prominently on display both in Target's pharmacy and baby areas. Is it really a good idea to encourage children to play with razors? And they have all the popular characters, Thomas the Tank Engine, Spiderman, Cars... weird.

Great Toddler Present Idea

17 days left till Christmas. And for online shopping, December 12th is the last day for standard shipping at most stores. So that really leaves me with 4 days to finish my Christmas shopping. Yikes. I still have no idea what to get half the people on my list.

On the bright side, my 3 year old niece is done. Check. And I think she's going to LOVE my gift. It's Christmas and her birthday so I got her a princess dress up set and a Shutterfly Sesame Street storybook, starring ...herself.

You upload a photo of the child and Shutterfly puts their photo and basic personal information (name, town, age, etc) into the story. It's not cheap at $39.99 but Shutterfly products tend to be quality and they are offering Free shipping on orders $50+, Promo Code SHIP50. In addition to Sesame Street, they also offer Sponge Bob Square Pants, Dora and Diego stories.

Okay, back to Christmas Shopping...

Cancellation Please

I need to slow down. I think. I'm not sure.  I'd like to blame my over scheduling on the holidays, but it's really only part to blame.  I've been like this since my son was born. . . almost 2 years.

I like everything I do. Except running errands and I can't stop buying gas or groceries. Unless..."Um, excuse me... Mr. Elf on the shelf, please tell Santa what a good girl I've been and that all I want for Christmas is a personal assistant to run all of my errands, clean my house and cook me diet yet delicious meals and snacks 24-7."

Well until that happens, I'll enjoy my unexpected free time aka cancellations. Yes, I love cancellations. Please business colleagues and/or friends, if your feeling generous, cancel on me.

Today  a client called me and sprang an apologetic cancellation on me. I had to mask my happiness a bit. I was looking forward to our meeting, but some free time to, catch up on other projects, well that's welcome. No apologies needed. Really, I owe her a thank you.

Then last week something happened that made me stop and think. It made me seriously stop and question myself and priorities. My hairdresser cancelled on me last minute --- and I was psyched! And I wasn't able to rebook for 2 weeks. Now any sane woman would be seriously mad. Probably find another stylist. But me? No, I'm relieved.

If you are reading this, please contact Stacy and Clinton from What Not To Wear. I think I'm in need of some professional help...
